Event: Armitage and Mutu

Discover the work of two internationally acclaimed Kenyan artists.

Michael Armitage, whose paintings create multiple narratives borrowed from historical and current news, internet gossip, and memories of home.

Wangechi Mutu, who works across sculpture, performance, collage and film to create Afrofuturist hybrid forms that interrogate race and gender.

The talk will be given by Dr. Marie-Anne Mancio, who runs art history courses and study trips through Hotel Alphabet, the London Art Salon, and lectures in many of London’s leading galleries.

It will be broadcast via Zoom, the link for the call will be made available with your ticket.

All proceeds go directly towards the libraries, librarians and bursary students in Kilifi County.

For tickets, please visit our Eventbrite page here.

We look forward to seeing you there.
