Akili Trust Newsletter – February 2012

February 2012

Dear Friends and Supporters of Akili

We are delighted to let you know that as a result of collaboration with Media Trust we have been able to make a short film about Akili’s work in Kenya. Our aim was to show you the places that we are working in, our Kenyan colleagues and the impact of what we are doing.

You can see the film by visiting the video gallery on our website or to the Akili channel on YouTube.

We hope that this gives you a greater insight into our work.

The film is also for fundraising purposes and we are really pleased to say that we have already had several donations. Please think about how you can support our work.

Have a look at the ‘How you can help‘ section of the website. We are keen to encourage regular standing orders, no matter how small. Remember that a donation of £12 per month will pay for the newspapers for one library for a year, £20 per month will pay most of the fees for a secondary school bursary for a year, and the smallest donations all help towards buying books in Kenya or shipping books from the UK.

If you can help in any other way or have other ideas for promoting the film then do let me know.

Many thanks
Pam Dix
