We have purchased seven computers for each library through Computer Aid, who provide donated and refurbished computers to not-for-profit organisations in developing countries. The computers are on a local network in each library. We are currently looking at different options for connecting to the internet. Computer training With a grant from the Leggatt Trust, we have been able to employ two computer trainers for six months to teach the librarians, school staff and students to use basic applications on the computers. This has been very successful and has made a big impact on the use of the libraries, so the programme has been extended for a further six months.
